well modelled as two classical wrestlers, one held by the other upside-down, his legs apart, raised on a rocky base, cast with the artist's name c1897. Height 655, original patina. Note: Lambeaux evoked scandal with many of his sculptures, his neo-baroque pieces of nude male and female bodies, couples or even entire groups of people engaged in all forms of carnal pleasure and situations full of sensuality, lust and passion were considered by some as 'indecent' and 'shocking'. $1400
