'Extensive Nelson Rural Landscape', watercolour, initialled and dated 3rd April 1888. Provenance: The Hursthouse Estate Collection. Note: the Hursthouse, Richmond and Atkinson families began their connections in New Zealand c.1840. Referred to as 'the mob'. They first settled in the Taranaki area, buying a few acres near the Hursthouses; this was to become Merton, the first headquarters of 'the mob'. 185 x 360. $700
