A 19thC French Empire period sculptural ormolu bronze mantel clock
modeled as a cherub riding upon a mer-lion (a morse); its uplifted tail enfolds a drum shaped case with eight day striking movement, the dial with Roman numerals. The mechanism with silk suspended pendulum, the spring dated 'April 1826'. All raised on an oval plinth base with an applied trophy group, a border of conch shells and with squat bun feet. 31mm diameter case, 17 jewel caliber 1003 mechanical movement, the case back engraved 18K and with manufacturer's marks and serial no.6396 370322. Champagne tint face with slight staining, gold batons indicate hours. Replaced 'lizard' strap. Missing winder.

A 1951 Francis-Barnett 'Merlin' 122cc motorcycle. One of Francis-Barnett’s first post-war offerings was the Model 51 Merlin. Introduced in 1946
it was powered by the 122cc Villiers 9D single-port engine, within a rigid frame equipped with a girder front fork. Handsome and lightweight, the well-equipped Merlin came with a speedometer and direct lighting as standard. A particularly neat touch was the oil tank - complete with petrol mix measure - attached to the rear chain stays. Recently restored and in working condition. Provenance: From the Estate of an Auckland gentleman who completed the restoration. Complete with helmet, goggles, various pamphlets and other associated items.
