with fusée chain driven mechanism and bell strike; the white enamel dial with Roman numerals set in an embossed brass face with square fret pattern, the case with slide-up doors to front and back raised on a stand carved and pierced with Oriental designs. Height 340.

modeled as a cherub riding upon a mer-lion (a morse); its uplifted tail enfolds a drum shaped case with eight day striking movement, the dial with Roman numerals. The mechanism with silk suspended pendulum, the spring dated 'April 1826'. All raised on an oval plinth base with an applied trophy group, a border of conch shells and with squat bun feet. Jeff Lambeaux (Belgian 1852-1902) 19thC bronze 'Les Lutteurs'
well modelled as two classical wrestlers, one held by the other upside-down, his legs apart, raised on a rocky base, cast with the artist's name c1897. Height 655, original patina. Note: Lambeaux evoked scandal with many of his sculptures, his neo-baroque pieces of nude male and female bodies, couples or even entire groups of people engaged in all forms of carnal pleasure and situations full of sensuality, lust and passion were considered by some as 'indecent' and 'shocking'.
