William (Bill) Marshall (UK) (1923 – 2007). 1950's 'Leach St Ives' pottery vase. Triple signed. H.230mm. Marshall was Bernard Leach's first apprentice and worked with/for him at St Ives' for over 40 years. He was influenced by Japanese ceramics especially those of Shoji Hamada.
