'Sketch Map of Maori Fortifications at RAИGIRIRI (sic) Drawn by Natives', marked in the lower margin J.Varty, Lith, Auckland. Insect damage in title area. 580 x 425mm. Est. $150 - 250 The decisive battle for Waikato was fought in November 1863 at Rangiriri, where a Māori defensive line was constructed along a ridge between the river and Lake Waikare.
