Lot Details
all awarded to W. Booth 1895, 1896 and 1897 'for 5 fat Down Weathers under 30 months' and similar. Note: Booth W. & Co., saw-millers and timber merchants, were established in 1874 Carterton (Wairarapa region) by the late Mr W. Booth. It became one of the largest saw-mills in the Wairarapa and employed a large number of persons. William Howard Booth, born 1877 (only son of founder Mr. William Booth) was an executive member of the Wairarapa Agricultural & Pastoral association, focused on the Carterton annual show. As an exhibitor of fat sheep & lambs, holds an extensive record of winning various medals across multiple shows.
