repousse worked shield form, highlighted with blue and green enamel in a scrolling stylised floral form. W.40mm. Stamped 'Watts' and 'Sterling'. Note: Watts was known to use images of native flora and fauna as well as Māori design It has been suggested that this brooch could possibly be that of a puriri moth.
