A Japanese katana - with cloth bound ray skin covered hilt with menuki, the tang with single fixing hole, tsuba with landscape decoration. Small area of pitting to blade and other slight oxidation. Blade L.710mm. Overall in lacquer scabbard with some faults 1050mm.

A well carved Japanese bone scabbarded and hilted tanto dagger - the scabbard carved in relief with an elephant and numerous attendants along with observers climbing a tree, the hilt with a group of figures, a small kodzuka blade inset to the scabbard. A highly decorative and energetic bronze of a bodhisattva Shaolin monk - wielding his khakkhara staff in his raised arm and manifesting a flaming pearl in his left hand, stamped under the hem of his flaring cloak with two undeciphered zhuanshu script seal marks. The surface treatments including cold painting and enhanced verdigris patination.
