John Leech Gallery exhibition label verso; typescript: Purchased from one man exhibition 1963. Note: Jones lived and painted for a time in Auckland in the 1950s. He was included in exhibitions at the Auckland City Art Gallery along with McCahon, Henderson, Mrkusich and others and at the Auckland Society of Arts in 1954, at the New Zealand Academy of Fine Arts between 1952 and 1964 and with The Group in 1958 and 1964.
