Including two display plaques, one detailed 'Twin Screw Steamer 'NIWARU'. Workman, Clark & Co. Ltd. Shipbuilder & Engineers. Belfast.' 3350 x 370 x 860mm. Note: The S.S. Niwaru, originally built in 1902, was a steel twin-screw passenger and refrigerated cargo vessel owned by the Tyser Line Ltd of London. In 1914 she was purchased by the Commonwealth & Dominion Line Ltd. In 1916 she was requisitioned and renamed The S.S. Port Lyttelton and used as a troop ship during World War I.
