in ormolu and bronze, the three-piece case surmounted by two bronze figures of putti flanking a neoclassical urn, above the white enamel dial. Eight-day count wheel mechanism requires attention. W.540mm. H.600mm. Provenance: The estate collection of Prof. G. Dawson. CONDITION REPORT: Heavy. Sectional case with gilt finish, gilding aged due to dust accretion. Mechanism bell striking working, but no bell. Pendulum appears to be a replacement. Runs short time, requires overhaul clean to run continuously. Enamel dial with damage around advance retard adjustment hole, left hand winder hole, Other hairlines to dial.
