Edo period. A jar of reddish-brown clay. Of cylindrical form the lower body flared from a flat base, vertical wall, rounded shoulder shirt neck with a thick ring lip. The whole excluding the resting surface dipped in a brown glaze with a light brown glaze poured from the neck, the drips forming vertical lines. Dia.21cm. H.29.5cm. Acquired at Art + Object, Asian Art sale, 29 February 2012, lot 197.
