hand modelled elephant figure in pale brown stoneware. The elephant carries a ritual bowl on its back. The upper part dipped in a brown glaze. Cat. Note/Ref. For a comparable example see William Willetts, Ceramic art of Southeast Asia (Singapore The Southeast Asian Ceramic Society, 1971), p. 70, no. 280 (University of Malaysia collection; Willetts observes this figure 'came from the kiln site').
