Lot Description

An old bone and silver Tibetan 'kangling' Buddhist trumpet, with long femur bone displaying some old cuts, the widest end with large embossed and engraved decorative silver cover including a stylised dragon, scroll and leaf forms and highlighted with a red coral cabochon, the mouthpiece cap end with stylised stiff leaf, bead border and green cabochon jewel. Note: the kangling should only be used in chod rituals performed outdoors with the chod damaru and bell. L.300mm.
