the wire bound grip with lion's head pommel, the quillon with acorn finials with oval crest of a crowned anchor within a laurel wreath. The engraved blade with the same crest and VR cypher the other side. The leather scabbard with brass fittings and double ring hangers. L.600mm. Provenance: Purchased Peter Dale Ltd. Sept. 1987 £375.
