each seated in 'royal ease', one on a recumbent elephant, the other on a recumbent lion, wearing long flowing robes and scarves, the faces with meditative expression and framed by an elaborate tiara. Possibly altar decorations. H.290mm. The statues appear hollow with plaster infill (see additional photos.) Provenance: From the Richard Rice estate collection.
