Lot Details

oil on board, signed and dated Alan 78, 610 x 930mm. Accompanied by a framed album cover design the artist painted for Donald McIntyre's performance of Wagner with exhibition review attached verso. Note: Thornton was born in Melbourne, Australia and known as a romantic and aesthetic artist and painter. He exhibited at Barry Lett Galleries in the 1960s.
