shape number '15' with lathe band design. Printed tiki mark and incised '15'. H.175mm. Note: After Shufflebotham being recognised a skilled potter working for Wedgwood, especially throwing Keith Murray (New Zealand born) designs, he came to Auckland in 1948 to join the Crown Lynn factory where he developed his own style. The matt white finish of his work was made possible by Crown Lynn's 1948 development of a formula based on halloysitic clay from Matauri Bay. In1955 he returned to England with his family.
