the full metal crown piece with circular boss for spike finial (spike not present) and with Arabic script in fine relief. The front with nasal bar and plume holders. The applied rim bar with shaped top edge, remains of gilt, the bottom edge finely pierced to support the chainmail neck guard and side plates, one present one absent. Crown diameter approximately 140mm.
