Whitchurch, number 223. Matched cases hallmarked London 1800 by Thomas Carpenter, Case maker, Islington Road, London. Verge fusée movement with pierced and engraved cockplate. Bullseye glass, white enamel dial with Arabic numerals ad minute indices, beetle & poker hands. Note: Probably James Joyce (1752-1817) of the famous family of clockmakers from Shropshire.
