Lot Details

the young Miss Rose stands with blushed cheeks wearing a white silk dress with blue ribbon highlights and shoes, holding a flower filled basket and floral spray, within an extensive landscape. In quality decorative ormolu frame. 305 x 260mm. Provenance: From a Devonport estate. Ex. David Cooke Antiques with letter of provenance (inside back cover) 'Purchased by me in 1958. When purchased it was in a specially made oak box with lock, with ‘Miss Grace Rose Sister of Mrs. Gertrude Rose of Mullaghcarn, Monaghan, Ireland.’ Written. Together with biographical details.
