the hand coloured photo by S.P. Andrew of a young woman wearing a pale blouse. The silver frame with rope border and enclosed back named by the silversmith Reuben Watts.Dia.62mm. Note: It is probable that the image is by Stanley Polkinghorne. Andrew, 1878–1964 who was one of New Zealand’s most renowned and accomplished portrait photographers. Based in Wellington, his studio operated on Willis Street from 1923 until the mid-1970s, documenting generations of Kiwis and prominent national figures.
