the hood with swan neck pediment, brass ball and eagle finial, pierced fretwork to each side, three quarter reeded columns with brass detail, the brass dial with roman numeral hours and Arabic numeral minutes, subsidiary seconds dial and date aperture, decorative spandrels, marked John Rankin, Glasgow, the case with paneled door and base. With pendulum and weights. 460 x 250 x 2260mm.
