raised on four paw feet, chamfered corners, gadrooned rim to lid, stylised hippocampus applied to the front and sides, floral swag to the back, the lid with a cartouche decorated with classical figures. The base marked von Brusewity 1800. Maker’s mark Gerike and the number 12, Berlin marks. Provenance: Rolf Walter Renker Collection (1927 – 2025), Düsseldorf. Renker family by descent. 615gms. 160 x 120 x 70mm.
