Lot Details

Including: Mike Gatting, Neil Williams, Wayne Daniel, Simon Hughes The signatures on the bat are the 1988 NatWest Trophy winning team, not the 1980 team as suggested by the 1980 emblem on the bat. Older stock bats were often used for signings. Middlesex beat Worcestershire by 3 wickets in the final at Lord's on 3 September 1988 — their 4th title in the competition It capped off a strong season under Mike Gatting's captaincy — his era (1983–1997) was Middlesex's golden period, and 1988 sits right in the middle of it, alongside their earlier NatWest win in 1984 and B&H Cup wins in 1983 and 1986.
