both accompanied by pups, the male with foot upon a brocade ball, the female with a ribbon cascading from her mouth, Both raised on short remnant post bases with reciprocal lappet capitals. Our vendor purchased these from a previous owner who stated their history as obtained at the sacking of the Emperor's Summer Palace in Peking in 1860. Some weathering and losses. H.340mm
