Portrait of Catherine Burton (Nourse) Cooke (1759-1833), oil on canvas on board, unsigned, portrait sitters’ details verso. 670 x 570mm. Note: Catherine was born in London and died in Lexington, Fayette County, Kentucky, United States. Family history notes that this portrait was painted in Kentucky by a noted early portrait artist. Provenance: Inherited by our vendor through Nourse family descent.
