lineal and curved carved detail to both sides highlighted by paua shell inserts. Muka cordage to the grip. L.375mm. Registered Y15970. Reputed provenance: Carved in the Havelock, South Island region. Ex. the collection of W.H. Smith, Manager of Messrs Brownlee and Cox's store, Havelock, gifted to him by local Māori.
