Lot Details

Papua New Guinea, Trobriand Islands. Carved wooden body, skin now missing (removed by New Zealand Customs). Reputedly collected c.1966–67 for museum purposes; acquired by vendor via Lakatoi, 26 May 1972. Attributed to maker Togobula from Okopukopu Island. H. 300mm.
