the ovoid body with floral tendrils in soft blue tone. H.345mm. Star firing crack to base and side. With vendor's note stating: 'Ming 16thC Authenticated by Spinks early 1970's. Valued at £600'. Ex. Collection of Dr David (Auckland) & M Stephens based in Singapore c.1956 - 1975. A passionate and knowledgeable collector of jade, porcelain and Chinese items. Member of the South East Asian Ceramic Society.
