A large Japanese hand carved 'Jizai kagi' wooden fish probably Meiji period. Used as part of a fire hearth kettle hanging hook. Traditional ball to the mouth - twin suspension holes. Remains of painted red and black highlights. Symbolic for good luck. L.800mm.
