Lot Details

fiddle pattern, hallmarked Birmingham 1780, but maybe not of this period. Makers mark ES.H. 474gm. Note: Silverware was produced in the British Colonies where the hall-marks acts were not in force. In these Countries pseudo hallmarks (marks of fantasy similar to those adopted by the British Assay Offices) have been used sometimes.
