Lot Details

tiger striped walnut stock and forend, foliate engraved action plates and breech, signed H. Holland to both plates, 30" damascus barrels with concave mid-rib. Gold metal cartouche engraved E. C. Money 78th Fus(iliers) (see footnote). #1331. ALR Footnote Dep, Asst. Quarter Master General, Captain E.C Money 78th Fusiliers passed out December 1876. "The New Annual Army List...1880" notes that Money served in the New Zealand War in 1864-66, and was present at the actions of Te Maketu (Franklin) and Te Ranga (Tauranga).
