made in Abuja Nigeria 1958-1959. Stamped early mark alongside the Abuja mark. Undetectable professionally repaired crack to side of lid. Note: In late 1958, Peter Stichbury began working and studying with Michael Cardew at the Abuja Pottery Training Centre in Nigeria, becoming his first Western pupil.
