“The Marching Olives of Mallorca”, oil on canvas, signed, 485 x 595mm. This wonderful foray into Twentieth Century Surrealism (see S. Dali, 1904-1989) has been used in a number of Hollywood movie productions. Montaner was born in Palma, Spain, the son and disciple of Spanish sculptor Miguel Vadell Pastor. He is known for his landscapes and still lifes. Note: paint flake to middle of canvas
