Provenance: The estate of Marjorie Musgrove. Marjorie and her late husband Professor Sydney Musgrove, the head of the Auckland University English department from 1947 until 1979 and distinguished Shakespearean scholar were part of the Auckland North Shore literati and arts scene. Their daughter the late Dame Judith Binney married Don Binney in 1963, she was a writer, NZ historian (scholar of Maori history) and Emeritus professor of History at the University of Auckland
