signed lower right and dated 1974. 600mm high by 900mm wide. Born in Redcliffs; Victoria in 1922; Jim Crofts was a painter in oils and acrylic. He spent most of his active life in the Mildura Region as a farmer. The Mallee and the Murray River scenery provide the landscape for many of his paintings. He painted in the Brushmen of the bush style like Pro Hart; Jack Absolom; Mal Gilmour and Max Mannix. His paintings are represented in many art collections around Australia.
