Minor chipping. Lead weighted bases. The Staunton chess set is the standard style of chess pieces, recommended for use in competition by FIDE, the international chess governing body. Tallest piece. H.101mm. Provenance: Belonged to our vendor's grandmother, Elizabeth Arthur/Thorpe of Wanganui, who was an NZ women's chess champion c1930's.
