made with ‘French Ivory’ (ivorine) in a Canadian Factory. Marked on the underside of the hinged lid. In unused condition, the inside compartment and underside of the lid is in a much darker colour. The gold leaf to ‘Stamps’ has virtually disappeared but could easily be redone. PROVENANCE: Purchased at the Eaton Centre, Toronto, Canada, June 1996. 80x35x20
