c.1900. Admiral George Dewey. Gingerbread style oak cased clock made by E. Ingraham Company. The gilt tablet depicts the U.S. Battleship Maine surrounded by scroll work above paired crossed flags and anchors. The portrait of Admiral Dewey is flanked by stacked cannon balls with crossed flags. The lower wings depict field cannons with U.S. flags. At the base are alternating stars and anchors. Pendulum is an embossed eagle. H.590mm
