by Percy Cross Standing, describing the great cricketers and matches of the period. These volumes contain come of the finest illustrations to be found in any cricket book, and are handsomely bound in illustrated green cloth boards with decorative spines. These are the Subscription Illustrated editions (first edition) with additional articles by famous cricketers. Both vols 4to. xii + 192pp + xii + 184pp. Profusely illustrated through both volumes, many full-page colour illustrations. Orange page edges. Both volumes in original green cloth with figure of a batsman playing a shot embossed on front between title in gilt capital letters. Also batsman design and gilt lettering on spine. Corners on both vols bumped. The spine has been professionally strengthened. Contents are very clean.
