Lot Details

Complete adze. Quadrangular cross section. Hammer dressed sides and back. Some cortex remains on front but has been ground. Bevel is finely ground. Irregular back at the butt end. Dull cutting edge. Light grey stone with white diagonal streak on back from proper left side to bevel and cutting edge. Found at Mount York (Te Anau). CAN ONLY BE SOLD TO A REGISTERED COLLECTOR
