Born in Christchurch Waymouth studied under Charles Nathaniel Worsley before travelling to England and marrying the artist R.M. Hughes in 1910. After travelling to Italy she returned to settle in Cornwall. A watercolorist and etcher she became a Member of the Royal Institute of Painters in Watercolour in 1933
