the wahine(girl) doll was purchased at Rotorua 1939 and re-dressed by Minnie; the head guide at Whakarewarewa in 1960. A jointed composite doll, wearing a feather, wool and fibre cloak, flax piupiu, rope pari (bodice), headband with taniko patterns, poipoi at wrist and a moko showing wear. The boy; a plastic, jointed doll wears a fibre and feather cloak (pake), a stylized moko, and poipoi tied to his fibre piupiu. Tallest H.360mm
