Note: Edwards is noted as a Wellington commercial artist and illustrator. Studied under artist H. Linley Richardson in his youth. Served in the air force during the second world war. Worked as a commercial illustrator in advertising until 1969, when he began to concentrate on fine art, working in oils in an impressionist style. Moved to the North Shore, Auckland, later in his life, and held exhibitions of his work
