000. Purchased in 1980 from the receivership auction of the Hamilton Hotel for $2,000 by Bruce & Joan Nicholson. Then sold to Brian & Sandra Glanville of Albany. The hand made kauri suite in the louis XV style comprising: cheval mirror + 2 single beds + pair of upholstered bedroom chairs + rectangular coffee table with 8 legs + bedside table + square side table + 3 drawer writing table. Having received multiple newspaper articles in the past 'Kauri fit for a Queen' and 'Royal touch added to city residence!' and 'Old furniture has many fond memories'. One article noting One couple who came in (to the auction in 1980) said they had spent the first night of their honeymoon in the hotel when they were married 45 years ago'.
