c. 1920s, albumen photographs, framed sepearately behind anti-reflective AR70 glass, each 45 x 65mm Note: Weeks was a competent photographer who often used photos of his travels for the basis of compositions he would revisit as artworks - they are an intriguing insight into his understanding of light and form especially. Provenance: Ex. Dunbar Sloane auction of Weeks Estate artworks. Ex. The Estate of V L Mayclair. Note: Ms Mayclair inherited this work from Mr John O’Connor. John’s mother (Hilda O’Connor) was John Weeks’ partner.
