arriving in Auckland 1913, in period oak frame with presentation plaque. An Indefatigable-class battlecruiser built for the defense of the British Empire. Launched in 1911, funded by the NZ government as a gift to Britain, she was commissioned into the Royal Navy in 1912. Intended for the China Station, she was released at the request of the Admiralty for service in British waters and saw action in WWI as part of the Grand Fleet. 450 x 700. $400
