Note: The bohemian artist and collector Count William de Belleroche (1913-69) met Brangwyn in 1934; he authored several books on Brangwyn. The RMS Empress of Britain was a luxury ocean liner launched in 1930, Brangwyn painted murals for the Salle Jacques Cartier (First Class dining room).

c.1858, the two-day duration timepiece in brass gimbal mounting, the 4" silvered dial marked 'Charles Frodsham, 84 Strand London, No.2898, Roman numerals with subsidiary state-of-wind (56 hour) dial flanked by garter framed crowned medallions: 'By Appointment to the Queen' and ' Gold Medal of Honour/Paris Exn.1855', subs seconds dial at VI. In three-part brass bound mahogany case with glazed mid-section, set with an ivory disc with maker's details and serial number; with 'tipsy' key. 175 x 175 x 180mm.

c.1810, in ebonised arched top case with brass beading and bracket feet; the repeating 8-day verge twin fusee movement striking on a steel bell. Silvered dial with strike/silent in the arch, Roman numerals and railtrack minute register, engraved Barraud, London, framed by flowers and a ribbon banderole; the backplate with conforming maker's details, florals and bright cutting; gilt brass fretwork scale panels to the sides, bale carrying handle. A French industrial steam hammer clock
c.1885; the staple-form case of gilt bronze trimmed sheet-metal raised on a black marble plinth, surmounted by a model piston cylinder connected to a linked control lever to a boilerplate platform on the left; between the legs of the frame a silvered anvil and hammer forms the visible portion of the complex pendulum. The dial signed 'Marcks & Co. Ltd, Bombay & Poona, made in France'; the circular French brass movement numbered 649, bell striking (hammer absent). H.450mm.
