A rare 19thC mahogany drum front pedestal bureau,

Lot Details

the interior with drawers and pigeon holes, a slide that reveals storage space, the leather writing insert lifts to reveal the drum, the top of bureau also lifts up to allow the internal mirror to be used. The base with two faux full width drawers over the pedestals each with small drawer and cupboard, a cupboard is also in the knee cavity. Each side of the bureau also with a small cupboard. This is possibly a campaign desk as there are fittings for carrying handles to each side (one handle absent). Raised on bracket feet. 930 x 630 x 1030mm.
